STAR+PLUS
STAR+PLUS is a Medicaid managed care program of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Managed care means the State of Texas hires UnitedHealthcare Community Plan to manage your health care.
The STAR+PLUS plan is one option available for eligible Texans with Medicaid.
The STAR+PLUS plan:
- Offers basic medical coverage and care services to help you with everyday life
- Promotes independent living
- Encourages frequent medical check ups
- Welcomes you to take part in all care decisions
This plan is available in the following counties: Aransas, Austin, Bastrop, Bee, Brazoria, Brooks, Burnet, Caldwell, Calhoun, Chambers, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Hardin, Harris, Hays, Jasper, Jefferson, Jim Wells, Karnes, Kenedy, Kleberg, Lee, Liberty, Live Oak, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Polk, Refugio, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Travis, Tyler, Victoria, Walker, Waller, Wharton and Williamson.
