Attention UnitedHealthcare® Dual CompleteTM RP (Regional PPO SNP) members:
Beginning January 1, 2015, UnitedHealthcare began paying providers for both your primary claims for Medicare-covered services as well as your secondary claims for Medicaid cost-share. If you are not eligible for Medicaid cost-sharing, then you will continue to pay for your secondary claims.
As a member of UnitedHealthcare Dual Complete which is a Medicare Advantage Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP) you cannot enroll in a Medicaid plan participating in the Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) program.
If you enrolled in an MMA plan while you were a UnitedHealthcare Dual Complete member, the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) will end your MMA enrollment usually within 30 days. You do NOT need to cancel your UnitedHealthcare plan membership. UnitedHealthcare will pay your Medicare and Medicaid claims for covered services while you are enrolled in our plan.
Plans are insured through UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company or one of its affiliated companies, a Medicare Advantage organization with a Medicare contract and a contract with the State Medicaid Program. Enrollment in the plan depends on the plan's contract renewal with Medicare.
Influenza is a serious illness that can be easily prevented by a simple shot.
- The best time to get a flu shot is before flu season starts. Talk to your doctor about what is right for you. You may want to write down when you get your shot, and plan to get it at the same time each year.
- When you get your flu shot, it is covered by the terms of your plan. For help scheduling an appointment, call the toll-free number on the back of your member ID card. Health coaches are available daily from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. to help you.
