We share a common goal: to improve the lives of the people in our community.

As the nation’s largest Medicaid insurer, we work with hundreds of faith- and community-based organizations across the country.

Take a few minutes to read about some of the ways we can team up. Let’s build a healthier community together.

Farm to Fork Program

Our Farm to Fork program for the state of Mississippi is in it's 3rd season and is a partnership between UHC and Alcorn State University's Extension Program. The mission of the project is to encourage healthy eating habits in communities that face health disparities or are considered food deserts. UnitedHealthcare Members of the Community Plan (MSCAN and MSCHIP) can bring their ID cards to one of the listed locations and receive a bag of fresh, locally grown produce for free, while non-members can receive a bag for a $5 donation.

The F2F program will be held from May to the end of September, with additional Super Saturday dates to be announced beginning as early as June. Please click here (PDF 114.93 KB) to see the schedule.

The F2F features a Turkey Give-a-way. Click here (PDF 970.06 KB) for information.

Produce is provided by the ASU Extension Program's Demonstration Farm.

Together, we can help ethnic women become Heart Smart Sisters™.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women and hits ethnic women at a particularly high rate.

Our UnitedHealthcare Heart Smart Sisters program is a way for your organization and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan to help ethnic women reduce their risk of developing heart disease. It's educational, fun and positive.

Food for Thought

Work with us to build healthier communities.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan and Sesame Workshop have teamed up to develop Food for Thought, a bilingual (English and Spanish) initiative that helps families make food choices that are affordable, nutritional and set the foundation for lifelong healthy habits.

The materials offer tips and strategies that are easy to implement.
