Food for Thought

Work with us to build healthier communities.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan and Sesame Workshop have teamed up to develop Food for Thought, a bilingual (English and Spanish) initiative that helps families make food choices that are affordable, nutritional and set the foundation for lifelong healthy habits.

The materials offer tips and strategies that are easy to implement.

Start a Community Garden

What does a health insurance company have to do with fresh fruits and vegetables? Absolutely everything. Our job is to help our members live healthier lives. And there's no better, faster, easier, cheaper, more fun way to do that than to help them grow good food for themselves.

Use Dr. Health E Hound to promote healthy habits.

UnitedHealthcare’s mascot Dr. Health E. Hound works with you to promote good health at back-to-school events and community health fairs.

"Dr. Hound" can help provide valuable health information about immunizations, wellness checks, exercise and healthy eating.
